ROOM680: SPACE OVERVIEWA brand new club environment created within the setting of a regal grand ballroom (circa 1910), Room680 is a multi-functional entertainment space like no other. Whilst we have maintained a number of the venues classic, grandiose features, we constantly strive to improve its surrounds via modern concept-driven designs, innovative thinking and cutting-edge production. Importantly, several key factors have been considered in all stages of the venues design, including: versatility and flexibility, patron comfort, points of interest, operational precision and provision for growth. As a result, Room680 comprises a dynamic set-up consisting of six different areas each designed to accommodate a wide variety of purposes. Here our Room is your room literally. Key features:•Six rooms divisible into distinct zones by moveable and customisable dividers•VIP areas can cater from 10 to 600 people•Three bars offering broad service area (main bar is an island configuration, serving all sides)•Four separate entrances offering separation of functions, or adding to unique identities of various events•Artwork and installations commissioned by some of Australias leading artists •Several large, plush seating booths sunk into stage floors and recessed into walls•Variety of staging and mezzanine areas for entertainment•Fully featured sound in all rooms, including unique DJ booth designs•Modular lighting system offering brilliant, flexible display •Extensive multimedia facilities including four ISDN lines for streaming broadcasts and four display projectors •Large variety of advertising (some obvious, others more subliminal) and product placement options within venue•Ample toilet facilities including ladies powder room and disabled toilet•Disabled access to venue•Function catering arranged on request BedroomSituated on a raised level and overlooking the main floor, it is probably the most private area in the club. With a capacity of up to a 100 people, this area has its own private swipe card entrance, plenty of unique bed seating, projector with screen, and audio console if required. The undisputed centrepiece of this space is the magnificent Mirror Bar. Comprising countless shards of hand cut, hand placed mirror glass, the new bar pays dazzling, contemporary homage to the traditionally revered mirror ball clubbing iconography. Its decadent. Its designer. Its disco all the way Indeed, this nu-skool application of discos oldest symbol has been designed for maximum visual impact and handcrafted for maximum quality and durability.Forbidden RoomWhen music and dancing is the order of the night for functions of 80-150 people, this area is perfect for private and corporate groups such as product launches, showcases and Christmas parties etc. With a fully stocked bar stretching the length of the room, service is easily obtainable. Select from our discerning range of wines or unique array of cocktails on offer. A state of the art sound system is situated at one end and gold banquettes at the other end, the front room is an ideal option for any event.Lounge RoomFor a look that is just left of centre, you cannot go past the lounge area. Featured in many architectural and fashion magazines this room is one of the foremost comfort zones in Melbourne. A space that can hold up to 150 people, it has a mass of seating areas including the renowned sunken dry spa areasare you confused by this? You should be, to see is to believe. As with the other rooms, a premium local and imported beer range is served but in this section only the best quality spirits are on offer; Absolut vodka, Chivas Regal and Bombay Gin all accompanied by packaged mixers and appropriate garnishes. With a large projection wall this is ideal for everything from multi media conferences to product launches. Main RoomFor functions of 700 people or more the main room is ideal. With a large bar reaching the width of the room, a dance floor and state of the art lighting and sound system, this room can be transformed to suit all needs. In this main room we have showcased the worlds leading DJs and fashion labels. Such nights have created a distinct and powerful energy - a level of excitement never experienced before the event to remember!Dining RoomThe most decadent and personal room, this space is a unique Room680 experience. Our ROOM membership keys open the front door of an old Victorian style house and allow entry to an antique filled dining area. A traditional bar, chandeliers, and old fashioned drink service make this area perfect for VIP guests.RoofPerched high above the clubs iconic existing structure, Roof is an acoustically engineered, open-air enclave that combines ultra-modern fittings and state of the art amenities with custom-designed furniture, uber-cool artwork and environmentally inspired palettes. Drawing upon themes of growth and sustainability, the lush 120sqm designer space has a capacity of 100 and boasts an array of cutting-edge features and materials that have been carefully selected for both their form and function. Stunning 7mx3m designer banners depicting a selection of hip monochrome montages (offset with bright green devices and real vines) afford patrons a visually decadent environment one that is further enhanced by quirky mod-grass clad furniture/amenities (including banana lounges, planter boxes and ashtrays!), table tennis tables and a magnificent white leather Chesterfield!

Maximising the benefits of its exclusive location in the heart of Hawthorns private school, university and TAFE district/s, Room680 is specifically situated above the Safeway supermarket in the bustling Glenferrie Road shopping strip. Importantly, Room680 also enjoys the unique benefit of being the only nightclub of its size or scope within its surrounds. Parking + TransportRoom680 is conveniently located in close proximity to a wide variety of public transport and car-parking facilities, including: 70 car parks on premises, 655 off-street car parks, Taxi Rank outside venue, Glenferrie Train Station (20 metres) and tram route 69 (Glenferrie Rd).
